All international students from around the globe are eligible to apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarships for the Fall 2025 session in Taiwan. Students seeking to pursue their studies in Taiwan through a fully funded scholarship are encouraged to apply. This prestigious award from a Taiwanese university allows students to undertake an Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD degree at NCTU. The scholarship is available for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Almost all academic fields and majors are offered by NCTU University under this scholarship. The Taiwan universities are offering more than 2000 awards for all students to complete their studies from here. The scholarship will cover almost all the expenses.

Application Deadline:

The last date to apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarships in Taiwan 2024-25 is 15th March 2024 for Fall Intake and 15th September 2024 for Spring Intake.

The NCTU International Student Scholarships 2024-25 in Taiwan for International Students will cover the following expenses as given below:

Bachelor Degree Scholarship:

  • Up to NT$21,000 (US$700) per month Monthly Stipend and/or Tuition waiver.

Master Degree Scholarship:

  • University Tuition Fee Waivers
  • Monthly stipend NT$22,000 (US$733) per month
  • Assistantship Will also be offered to Master Students By an Advisor For Research Work.

Doctoral Degree Scholarship:

  • Waivers of tuition fees
  • Monthly stipend NT$29,000 (US$966) per month
  • PhD Students will also get Assistantship By Advisor for Research Work.

Taiwan Scholarship – MOE, MOFA, MOST Scholarship:

This scholarship is provided by the Taiwan government (the Ministry of  Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Science and Technology).

MOFA Scholarship:

  • Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000
  • One Direct Round-Trip Economy-Class Ticket

MOE Scholarship:

  • Waiver of tuition and certain fees
  • Recipients can only study at universities participating in the Taiwan Scholarship Program Union
  • Mainly for recipients from eligible countries designated by the MOE.

Eligibility Criteria for NCTU Scholarship:

To apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarship 2024-25, candidates have to meet the following criteria:

  • International Applicants except Taiwan with any other nationality are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be healthy both physically and mentally.
  • Candidates who are recipients of any other scholarships are not eligible.
  • Applicants should fill out the application form correctly, honestly, and completely, and submit application materials as required by the university.
  • Candidates having high school degree certificates are eligible to apply for Undergraduate Degree programs.
  • Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree can apply for a Master’s Degree.
  • Students with a master’s degree certificate are eligible to apply for a Doctoral Degree.

Students have to prepare the following document before applying for NCTU International Student Scholarships 2024-25 in Taiwan:

  • Online Application Form
  • The Highest Degree Diploma is verified with official stamps.
  • The highest degree Transcript
  • 2 Letters of Recommendations: (Must be written by the candidate’s Teacher, Advisor, or Employee).
  • Valid Passport Copy
  • The study plan must be written in Chinese or English.
  • English Language Proficiency: If the applicant’s previous degree was taught in English, then the candidate can submit an English Proficiency Certificate from the previous institute.
  • Academic thesis or relevant publications (for PhD program applicants).
