Sandra’s leadership journey began early in her life. At Our Lady of Mercy Senior High School, she took on the prestigious role of Senior Girls’ Prefect, where she honed her leadership skills and developed a passion for advocacy. Her journey continued at Koforidua Technical University, where she served as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Institute of Distance Learning (IODL). She would later take on more challenging roles, culminating in her position as the Women’s Commissioner of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where she studied Public Administration.

Sandra’s leadership abilities have earned her numerous accolades. In 2021, she was honored with the Upper East Region Inspirational Icon of the Year award, recognizing her dedication to leadership and community service. Her tireless efforts were further acknowledged when she won the Overall Women’s Commissioner of the Year at the maiden edition of the NUGS Excellence Awards in 2023.

A Humanitarian at Heart

As a two-time contestant for the position of Secretary for Women’s Development at NUGS, she has consistently showcased her deep commitment to the welfare of students, particularly women. Her vision for the Women’s Department within NUGS centers on fostering an environment where female students are given the tools and support they need to excel academically, socially, and professionally.
