Mr. Carl Asem Appointed as Acting Managing Director by CalBank PLC
CalBank Plc (Ghana Stock Exchange: CAL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Carl Asem as the Acting Managing Director, effective February 13, 2024. This follows the retirement of Mr. Philip Owiredu, concluding his commendable 4-year tenure as Managing Director and his impressive 20-year journey with the bank.
Mr. Asem, who served as Deputy Managing Director at CalBank since September 2022, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new leadership role. His pivotal role in shaping the Bank’s strategic direction and contributions to its growth and success since joining in 2022 underscore his valuable leadership capabilities.

With over 20 years of proven expertise in marketing, sales, relationship management, customer service, and business development, he played a pivotal role in leading growth strategies and initiatives in the Anglophone West Africa region during his 19-year tenure with the Ecobank group before joining CalBank in 2022 as Deputy Managing Director.
