President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s transition team has established a preparatory anti-corruption taskforce to fulfill his campaign promise of fighting corruption. The initiative marks the beginning of Mahama’s comprehensive plan to recover the proceeds of corruption and ensure accountability when he assumes office.

In a press statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team, the task force will gather information on alleged acts of corruption from both public sources and other stakeholders. This preparatory measure aligns with Mahama’s anti-corruption policy, anchored by the “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) agenda, a core plank of his 2024 campaign platform.
