Save The Coin Foundation has once again reaffirmed its deep commitment to social transformation and human development through a powerful initiative titled “My TVET, My Wealth Skills Training and Capacity Building”, a program held at the Koforidua Prisons in the Eastern Region on October 30, 2025.

Under the inspiring theme “Giving Value, Restoring Hope,” the event sought to empower inmates with practical, income-generating skills while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Participants received hands-on training in soap making, tie and dye, bead making, and phone repair, with both inmates and prison officers taking part. These skill sets were carefully selected to equip participants with sustainable livelihood opportunities during and after incarceration.

Speaking at the event, Ahmed Akusie Osei, Executive Director of Save The Coin Foundation, highlighted the organization’s belief that

“Every individual, regardless of their situation, deserves the chance to rebuild their life with dignity and purpose.”

He further emphasized that this initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader national effort to promote sustainable rehabilitation through vocational training and mental wellness programs.
